A Historical Look at International Book Project’s Impact 

In 2019, a University of Kentucky student had the opportunity to conduct research on an unprocessed archival collection through the Special Collection Research Center located in the Margaret I. King Library. She was assigned the collection of IBP founder Harriet Drury Van Meter’s papers! The focus of her project was the impact of literacy on economic development in underdeveloped communities, tracking the effects International Book Project programs had on its diverse partners.
